• Hubbert curves and resource use/depletion.
• Consumption rates versus estimates of undiscovered oil.
• The temptation of coal.

Day 12:

• The geopolitical distribution of fossil fuels, and energy sources.
• What are 'green' (environmentally friendly) sources of energy (and how green are they)?
• Ethanol and biofuels.
• How much 'energy' is to be found in efficiency, and behavioral changes?
• In-class exercise.
