Description: One of the best ways to learn about the world is to travel. This completely online course encourages travel to a foreign country, and assists in planning such a trip. All assignments involve the creation of web pages that describe the area of interest and the planned trip. The specific assignments will include a biography of yourself; a links page to the available web resources on the area; a picture page of the region where you plan to travel; a page of relevant maps; a regional geography page that describes the physical characteristics including climate and terrain and the human geography including culture and the current political and economic aspects of the area; and an itinerary page that outlines a three-week trip to the area.

Prerequisites: An introductory course in geography, such as GEOG 1000, 1020 or 1030, is recommended, as well as a working knowledge of the Web including the use of search engines. Familiarity with BlackBoard and access to e-mail is essential.

Please contact me by email if you have any questions about the course.
