Welcome to the Gatita's Home Page!

In case you don't know what the Gatita is, here's a picture.

About me...

Some people think that I'm a mixture of weasel, opossum, and lemur. Technically, I'm actually a feline, but I have a lot of characteristics that fool people into thinking that I'm one of those other things.

About where I live...

This is the house where I live with two servants and three adopted siblings. My servants are Tom and Zale. Right now they are both in a thing called "Graduate School". I don't know what that is; I only know that since they went into it they spend a lot less time serving me and my siblings. They are usually
very good at opening food tins, opening the door when I want in and out of our house, and most important - playing with me. My main occupation in life is playing.

Here is one of my favorite toys - it's called Mr. Weasel. To play the Mr. Weasel game, one of my servants dangles him from his static line (the green string-thing) and makes him move like he's walking along the floor. I hide behide a chair or door and when Mr. Weasel walks by I jump out, grab him, and kick the stuffing out of him while he yells " Oh help, help! Something's got me! " It's great fun.

Here's another of my toys. My servants call it a "ping pong ball", but I know that it's really a rolly-thingy. The nice thing about the rolly-thingy is that I can play with it all by myself, even when my servants aren't here. The bad thing is that sometimes I lose it, and then it's not much fun at all.

Here's my wind-up play mouse. He's fun when my servants are around to wind him up. He makes a buzzing noise and skitters around, and I like to pounce on him. When he winds down he's not much fun, though.

An important part of my daily games is Playing Outside. This includes Chasing Interesting Things.
Here is a feather from a bird that I sort of caught. He got away, but he was great fun to play with while I had him.

About my siblings...

As I mentioned above, I have three adopted siblings. Monkiti (aka the Puff) is my older sister. Here's what she looks like. She doesn't play much. She mostly just likes to eat and sleep in the sun.

Here's a picture of my older brother Julio ( aka the Hule). He's a really good hunter. He and I like to go out at night and hunt mice and moles.

Here's a picture of my older brother Marleborough ( aka the Burl ). He's the fattest cat I know, and he has often been mistaken for Garfield. His favorite pastime is eating tuna.

About our pets...

In addition to our excellent servants, we also have some pets. There are three fish who spend their summers in our outdoor pond and who winter in a tank in the den. There are also three gerbils - Pretty Boy Floyd, Cole Younger, and Jim Younger. (The Younger brothers are younger than Pretty Boy Floyd.) There used to be a gerbil named Machine Gun Kelly, but Julio played with him too hard one night and broke him.

About our home and family...

Julio has lived here since 1983 and Marleborough has been here since 1984. Monkiti used to have a household of her own, when Zale was her only servant. She came to live with us in the summer of 1992, and her servant moved here in 1993. I came to live with my servants after I found them wandering around on Labor Day in 1992.
We have a very good home life. We get along well with each other, and we have our servants well trained. We always have plenty of food and we have two big yards to play in. We are a very happy family.
