Symposium of the ICA Maps and the Internet Commission

The meeting will take place on the main campus of Warsaw University. The location ”Warsaw” has been chosen mainly due to the fact, that it could be a „halt en route” to the ICA Conference in Moscow. The local organizers are Prof. Jacek Paslawski and Mrs. Jolanta Korycka-Skorupa, Ph.D. (Warsaw University, Chair of Cartography).
Registration
Registration will be on-site and will be 120 PLN (~$42). Guests will be 60 PLN (~$21).
Publication
A conference proceedings in included in the regular registration cost.

Accommodation
The organizers suggest a number of different types of accommodation that are located near Warsaw University (see attached) and are easy to reach from the airport or train station. The nearest hotel is Sofitel Victoria Warsaw, a 400 meter walk to the main campus of Warsaw University. Of course, you are free to decide whatever accommodation you like. Please arrange your own accommodation.
Social Events
There will be an ”icebreaker” reception on the first evening - Tuesday, July 31st - at 6 PM. A field trip will take place on the second afternoon (Wednesday, August 1st) to the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography and other locations.
Travel
Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport is situated about 10 kilometers to the southwest of the city centre. Information on how to reach your hotel will be provided.
