Historical settings of China.

Dynasties - China has a outlined history of twenty five dynasties dating back 2100 B.C.E. and ending just one hundred years ago.

Historical Cities - This is a link to a list of China's large number of historical cities.

The Great Wall - The Great Wall was built in 600 B.C. and has a total legnth of approximately 6700Km.

Physical Enviroment

Mt. Everest - Mt. Everest lies in the Himalayas moutains in southwest China, and is 29,000 ft. above sea level and was formed over 60 million years ago.

Land of China - China's land regions can be divided into eight different sections.

Qinghai Lake - Qinghai Lake is China's biggest body of water.

Huang He and Chang Jiang rivers - The Qinghai Lake is the source of water for these two rivers where the first Chinese civilizations appeared over 5,000 years ago.

Cultural Enviroment

Dogs Used as Food - Pictures of dogs being sold and slaugtered at a market in China. It is not an uncommon food. (Uneasy stomaches should avoid this link)

Tea - Tea has been a primary drink in China for over 5,000 years.

Tea Fields - This is a picture of a tea picker working in the field to supply the demand of the thirsty world.

Cooking - China's historical art of cooking was greatly influenced by the great philosophers Confucius and Lao Tzu.
